Steps in Stone
In La Mata, a seaside town on Spain’s Costa Blanca, handrails beckon from the ocean’s rocky edge, offering swimmers a secure place from which to enter the water. Photographer Gary Gillette’s long exposure renders the early morning mist a gauzy cover that obscures the Mediterranean Sea.
